hi guys

i have used this forum a lot for preparing for digital design interviews and learning many concepts in asic design.
i have secured an intern in a cpu design team in a leading semiconductor company. But I still do not know what exactly is expected from an intern and the nature of his job. Also they had mentioned during the interview that I will not be given any design work during the intern period (which is obvious since i am a fresher and no huge project can be completed in 3-4 months).
i was wondering how PERL and TCL languages are useful for such positions.
i am asking this since i want to be a little familiar with the job and prepare a little in advance since i have 10 days to spare.

thanks in advance

You will most likely be involved in verification, hence the perl and tcl

tcl is used by the majority of the EDA tools.

If you work only at frontend level, verification, will be a must.

Perl helps you to write some handy programs
