Hi,

Currently I am making a new design. In this design I will use 1 SPI port for 5 devices. I can connect each CS of the devices to a GPIO of the LPC1768 controller. Another option is to use a demultiplexer. The devices that may be attached to the SPI are placed on header (and I will keep the connections short). This device is not defined at the moment (multiple options). So I have a simple question. What is the best option? The GPIO or demultiplexer? Does the microcontroller add extra functionality to the CS line (end of transfer, deactivate cs and execute write/command/etc)?

Kind regards,
Mark
