MSVCR90.dll error in Cadence Allegro SPB 16.5

I am having MSVCR90.dll error when opening a file in Cadence Allegro SPB 16.5.
I think the design was made using a lower version (probably 16.2 or 16.3)

May I ask how can it be solved?

When do you get this error? At the time of launch of tool, that is Allegro.exe? You should not get such errror on File>Open
Can you try launching the tool from run by typing the Allegro.exe and using File>Open
It seems that you may be trying opening a file using dblclick?

Thanks for your response. Yes, I have been double clicking on the Allegro icon on my desktop to run the program.
I'll try your suggestion and I will update you on the result.

Have you tried installing 2 versions of SPB (i.e. 16.3 and 16.5) at the same time?

I have a Win 7 x64 laptop and I can't open SPB 16.3 successfully even if I have set the Release Manager correctly.
