hello guys,

i am very much interested in doing MP3 encoder or decoder, as i know that decoder is very much easier than encoder. but i want to know the theory of encoding algorithm. so that it will be easier for decoding part. so can anybody please help me out in this problem.

I heard that LAME library is the best mp3 library available as souce (there is link for LAME on datacompression site). As LAME quality exeeds most commercial implementation of soft mp3-coder, it is used as dll by lots of commercial programs
