Moving Message Display problem

I have moving led Display board .It was working fine initially.But now when the character enters from right side of display .Similar character show up in the left end .
ie Both show up at the same time .How to find out the problem

first check is it a hw problem or sw ???
may be your data pins for letches are shorted together
