hi ,everyone

can any one tell me what are the recent advancements in power electronics with focusing in the area of semiconductor devices ?

* Greater density of watts is always being pushed. Example, power converters in ever smaller packages are demanded by the consumer market.

* Rechargeable batteries are being made with increasingly greater capacity. Lithium type is prominent, however they need greater care to prevent overcharging. I've heard that some Li batteries have controller circuits built into them, as a measure to reduce risk of fires and explosions.
