Hi everyone,

I've been having a problem trying to develop a circuit using a 4511 to count a seven seg. display. I've built the circuit and can't work out why it won't make a count? This is for a student's project and we'd be really grateful if we could have some help.

Thanks. 4511 circuit.jpg

CD 4511 isn't a counter, just a decoder with latch. The circuit should work accoridng to datasheet specification.
