I want to control the speed of the motor for a toy car motor which i'm using L293D IC to drive it from PC. Speed is too much that camera over it cannot record the video. I thought to use astable multivibrator to control speed by connecting it pin 1 ( enable ) of the L293D , i connected 100uF capacitors and 3k and 1k resistors for Ra , Rb to 555 timer and pin 9 in L293D connected to Vcc, but it is controlling speed but both motors are operating same time,is that enable common for both motors ? i can see another enable pin .. any solution ?

Any other methods to control speed of motor ? it is 6V motor
