Hi masters,
I want to design an ESC with a maximum of 40V 40A. but I do not aim for a functional design while doing this. I don't need plugins like communication etc. I will just feed and it will have pwm output for a speed setting. Therefore, as a gate driver, I am looking for a mosfet driver that can drive mosfets only based on this speed reference.
The mosfet driver should be able to handle feedback such as current and voltage on its own, and I don't want to have a pwm input for each mosfet. I want to do this work without using MCU.
Is there a reference or a mosfet driver that you know of to help me?
Thank you very much in advance.

Hi,

It does not only depend on motor type, driving method, PWM frequency, duty cycle range, precision, EMI...it also depends on quantity, availability, cost, ...

Why don´t you use ready to buy modules?
..or just low side swithing and free wheeling diode?

Hi Sir,
Firstly, thank you for your answer.

Yes I agree, it depend on driving method PWM frequncy and other things. But I am looking for anything, I mean driving method could be trapezoidal or FOC or PWM frequency could be 15-40kHz... I just want to any guidance, I will choose from recommendation.
I found a IC, Allegro's A4915. I am looking for IC like this.

I don't want to use ready to buy because I want to design it sir.
Thank you for your understanding.

If you do not want to do any design work KlaussST recommendation excellent.
There is significant design considerations when doing motor control, not for
the novice, but not rocket science either.

However there are solutions out there with example projects one can draw off -

Many other vendors have a rich set of application notes on this topic, Microchip, ST, Freescale,
Infineon........

Here is single chip (not including MOSFET high current gate drivers) as example -

Hi,

in first post you said motor control ... and PWM. No motor type.
I thought of a DC motor.

Now you show a 3 phase BLDC IC.

I will come back when there are clear informations.

Based on your post needing ESC I assumed you are looking for this -

Is that an accurate assumption ?
