Hi
Did anyone use Precision Synthesis from Mentor Graphics? Have they indeed a physical synthesis tool? How is comparing cu Amplify.

Thanks

I want to know more about this nea tool too. At the moment, I cannot find any technical documents about it.

I would also like more: is it for FPGAs, or just ASICs?

Precision Physical adopts a very different approach to timing closure than Amplify.
Whereas Amplify appears to be only used successfully as an RTL Floorplanner, Precision
Physical leverages the vendor’s placement and delay information to incrementally close
on timing using netlist and placement optimization techniques. Amplify relies on the
user determining critical logic from the Place and Route timing report and generating a
suitable floorplan.

dont u think u are in wrong forum?
please use pld/cpld/fpga design forum.
hock
