Hi, I'm using 130nm TSMC monte carlo simulation. In their rf013.scs file, there is a mc section for monte carlo. There is also nch_mis/pch_mis for mismatch nmos/pmos transistors. I'm just wondering what the purpose is for the mc section if I am using nch_mis/pch_mis cells in my netlist. Thanks.
I suppose that these are the variables that control/model the distribution of various parameters that concern the transistors of the process. You should take a look at the manuals of your pdk for more information.
Hi I did read the pdk kit. It was not described. I am not able to tell the difference between mc seciton and tt seciton. It seems that even if you refer to tt section and set devices to nch_mis, you still get mismatch simulations. The spread of results between pointing to tt section or mc section look different so I'm wondering whether I should point to tt or mc. Please shine light.
