monitering pic applications with usb port

hi, myself doing project on the usb port access for monitering purpose of my application i have choosen visual basic as my front end. do anybody can help me out how to communicate from the pc side. suggest me some ideas or resources if u can.

i'm no windoze user so i might be misleading, but as far i know, you can't access hardware using basic unless you're using inline assembly (if exists).

Your application has to communicate with the kernel USB driver in order to access usb port
