Hello,

I am looking for analyzing a signal on transverse plane (x,y) to a certain number of modes. I found a paper but I cannot find it anymore.
I have a basis of modes and I would like to analyze the transverse field distribution on this basis. I know there is a way to do this using integrals but I not quite sure about this

Any guidance will kindly appreciated
