Hi
In my job I have been assigned the responsibility of verifying a
analog-Mixed signal design. But I don't have any prior experience of
analog design or mixed signal verification.
I have been in the digital design front-end verification and design for the last 4 years.

So I don't know where to start for Mixed-Signal Verification. It will be of
great help if you can provide me some references or tutorials on
Mixed-signal verification for a novice engineer.

You should use both digital simulate tool and analog simulation tool under

AMS Enviorment.

AMS Enviorment:

Cadence: NC_Sim + Ultrasim

Synopsys: VCS + Nanosim

Mentor: Modelsim + MACH

You can find basic knowledge from the EDA company's website.

I use both nanosim and hsim. Hsim is more faster to get the circuit working for mixmode circuitry. Nanosim takes more time to do the same job. In my case tipicaly, hsim has a factor of speed about 7 for the same conditions.

I would recommend you to use hsim since you will get the results much more faster and will help you debug and know the full circuit.

How to verification, not simulation!

Can someone please explain how verify digital/mixed signal designs .
Simulation is never a problem. We can either use ASM Designer from cadence or Nanosim from Synopsys.

Can we use the same test bench that have been used for digital block verification or do we need to develop a new test bench altogether when we verify integrated analog and digital block???
