frequency pulling microwave oscillator wiki

I am require the to design a microwave oscillator using ADS with specs below :

Microwave Oscillator Design specifications

Output frequency: 12GHz
Output Power: 5mW
Frequency Pushing factor <100 kHz/V
Frequency Pulling factor is less than 50 MHz peak-to-peak for a 1.5:1
Load impedance, Rl 50 Ohm

Anyone have any example or guideline to do it ? I had done numerous filters design but oscillators is my first.

I have some knowledge on oscillator but i found it kinda hard to apply to ADS.

Hello,

I suggest that you start with the oscillator design guide in ADS. It is a tutorial with step by step design procedure.

Feel free to ask more about it if you need more help.

Well, seems
Frequency Pushing factor <100 kHz/V
Frequency Pulling factor is less than 50 MHz peak-to-peak for a 1.5:1
means you need good regulator and output buffer.
So it more than a simple oscillator tutorial.

Have fun,

Hello,
I suggest u to go for oscillator basics first.Decide Topology hv calculations with u then u go for simulation.

Please can anyone help out.
I am working on design of oscillator and need to make the transistor unstable, i.e
convert from common source(2 port)->common gate(3port) and to common gate(2port) to,i can only see the procedure i nedd the formula to do this
