Hi ,

I would like to know the differences between the lumped and distributed microwave filters. What is lumped filter ,and what is distributed filter?

A lumped filter is build from inductor and capacitor while the distributed filter is build from transmission lines. Those transmission lines are design so that they act as either inductor, capacitor or both.
