Hello everyone!
I'm currently working on a bachelor thesis, where I am going to design Microstrip-To-Waveguide transition. Right now I'm working with a rectangular waveguide - WR12. However, as seen in the pictures that I've posted, the microstrip consists of 2 WR, one on the upper side and downside. My question is that in order to backshort my WR on the upperside, should I assign a perfect E boundary?
Also, in order to connect these to WR, I have to implement via holes, but this will for sure increase my simulation time, is there another easy way to connect these to WR?
Thanks in advance!
