I need an advice about wich microcontroller to use for an application.
This one mult have:
- small package (8 pin smd)
- low cost
- ADC
- low power
- memory requirements are not heavy, so 2k or 4k flash are good.
- ram few bytes are good

:)
thx
Lollo

AT tiny15L

8-lead PDIP and 8-lead SOIC: 6 Programmable I/O Lines
4-channel 10-bit ADC
1024 x 14 words of FLASH Program Memory
64 x 8 bytes of Data Memory (SRAM)
128 x 8 bytes of EEPROM data memory
Low power consumption
<1.0 mA @ 5.5V, 4.0 Mhz
20 uA typical @ 2.0V, 32 kHz
< 1.0 uA typical standby current @ 2.0V
DC - 20 MHz oscillator / clock input

Hi,
To find 8 pin smd+adc func. is too hard to find.If i were you i prefer atTiny15L and external smd adc ic.

Analyzer.

Tiny is a good choice, thanks.
Someone know where I can find it in Italy (distributors)?

thx
Lollo

Hi

If you can not find it in your country try www.digikey.com They can send small quantities.

I think Microchip PIC series is the best solution for you

best request

i think u can go for motorola 8 pin nitron series

it costs <= 1$ and has built in adc also

sriram

I general I would prefer Atmel AVR over Microchip PIC.
They are a lot faster and costs about the same.
AVR vs. PIC: https://www.dontronics.com/auto.html

Have a look at this one too:
EM Microelectronic Ultra-low power 4-bit MICROCONTROLLERS:
https://www.emmarin.ch/Line.asp?IdLine=2
https://www.emmarin.ch/webfiles/product/mcu/mcu_prodtable.pdf

From EM's website:
EM offers the best MIPS/Watt ratio with ultra-low current as low as 0.3µA in halt mode. They are best suited for controlling and display applications in which power consumption is critical.
EM also offers MFP (MTP) versions of its ROM MCUs, best suited for engineering and development phases of a project.

Microcontroller Choice

Hi ME!
What the price for this 4 bit microcontrollers?

Thanks!

I don't really know anything about the EM Microelectronic MCUs.
I just found their website today and thought it looked very interesting for low power design.
Try to find a company who sells these MCUs and ask them for prices

If you need, you can use Holtek microcontroller HT46R47: 18pin available in SSOP package too (which is smaller than a SO8 package) and costs only 0,70 EUR (price for 1000+qty).
It has 4 A/D channel with 9bit resolution
1Kword of OTP/ROM (RISC architecture)
64 byte of RAM

The italian distributor is Covel (www.covel.it).
