What is the funcion of ALE in 8085?

How many interrupt? 5 or 12.
(software and hardware interrupts.)
 

Hi,
Ale differentiates between address and data for the processor.ALE is high initially, When ALE goes low the contents on the port are latched and considered as address.
 

8085 has 5 hardware interrupts and 7 software interrupts. Hardware interrupts are the interrupts generated external to the processor. Software interrupts are the interrupts created internelly that means through software
