micro or macro cell?

what is micro cell and macro cell in cellular system?
how can we sectroized the cell?
is it possible to make more than 6 sectors?

hi
the microcell is a cell that coveres or handeles low velocity mobile subscriberes like aperson moving on his feet while the macrocell is a one that coveres the high velocity suscriber like aperson speaking whiledriving a car .

to sectorize acell we use whts called a directional antenna rather than omni directinal one to cover certain sectors of the cell .

concerning the number of sectors if it increases above 6 the whole concept about sectoring is not affected since it is used primarely to increase the capacity of the antenna to handel higer traffic , it is used in the centere of metropolitan cities .

hope this answeres your questions ,for more information see theodore rappaport book chapter three .

best regards
