HI, I want to use the SSM2165 as a mic preamp and compressor, for driving an SA612AN to produce DSB in a transceiver.
I wonder, if I could use the same chip SSM2165 to amplify audio out of the SA612AN (in down conversion) but also as a means of audio AGC.

I believe that the compressor in the SSM2165 can be used as an audio AGC before the final audio amplifier.
Maybe the AGC can also be disabled as well, if disconnecting the 3 and 2 pins and take the output from 2.
What do you think?
