method to drive and control brightness of Luxeon 1A led

luxeon brightness change

hi,

i need some design on to drive luxeon led and control the brightness of it.it is better if the design is a swichmode type current source so i can vary the current and change the brightness of the led.

please post your suggestion about this!

i really appreciate your help guys!
ultimately i find a simple ( not very much energy efficient method ) to control the brightness of a led using N mosfet (IRF540) and linear regulator. (lm317 as current source)

i have attached my sch to control brightness using a pic micro controller.
