Metal electro migration

If forced current from left to right (that means electrons from right to left), Which side will become thinner after metal line broken?

Metal electro migration

Hi henrywang,
If a dc voltage is applied across a metal line in your case left positive, right negative.
Metal ions tend to migrate towards negative (in yourcase it is right).

regards
