metaencrypt function? what does it for?

Who can explain metaencrypt module's purpose in HSPice for Solaris/Linux?

I never see it in Windows version? why?

A feature let you release a model or a subcircuit for your customer to try out without reveal the real content. It's very usefull for IP company

Windows version of Hspice is not a full-blown version. A serious circuit designer don't use Windows version as a solely tool to do the job. Remember this feature cost money, it's not free ( more than price of a Windows Hspice)
