mentor 2004.3 installation problem fedora core 3

I can't install mentor 2004.3 because the installation wants a 2.4 linux kernel.
Does anyone know a workaround?

U can try to do the following
in a terminal:

export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1

Hope it works.!!
