Hey III,
I downloaded the files "MPlayer-1.0rc1-1.pm.1.i586.rpm" and "x264-0.0svn20061031-1.i586.rpm" u told from packman's site.
And while trying to install it gave the following dependency errors.
And yesterday I also tried to install xine after unstalling xine-lib by yast. The command I used was.....
rpm -Uvh libxine1-1.1.4-0.pm.0.i586.rpm libcaca-0.9_0.99.beta11-0.pm.0.i586.rpm speex-1.1.99_1.2beta1-0.pm.0.i586.rpm.
And it didn't give any dependancy errors this time.I feel the mistake I did last time was although I downloaded from packman's site I didn't choose 10.1 suse in that.
But the problem is even if it installed (I think as it didn't give any warning) still when I search for the command xine
(which xine)
It doesn't show any.ie the command
xine still doesn't exist.I don't know why.
Then I searched the files or folders containing the name xine.I found some of them as follows.
/usr/lib/xine
/usr/local/lib/xine
/usr/local/share/doc/xine
/usr/local/share/xine
/usr/local/include/xine
/usr/share/doc/packages/xine
/usr/share/xine
/usr/include/xine
Can you help how can I get it work?
And another thing.I tried using yast.
The screen comes. But how can install various packages which are stored in a directory not in the installation cds?
The options I see are..
Online update.....Which needs me to be online .I can't use it at room.I don't have net there.
Software management....By Which I can only install only those packages which are in the installation cds( I feel). It's also quite painful.
Adon pruduct.....I couldn't find it's use.
Installation source....
Media check.....
Patch cd update...
System update....
