For a consumer product with exposed metal, what is the maximum allowable temperature from a UL approval safety perspective?

61010 table 15 indicates 70°C for surface temperature limits of metal unless the area is defined as "small areas that are not likely to be touched" in which case the limit is 100°C.

In this case a USB connector shell is the hottest exposed part, however it's recessed in the enclosure by 2mm making it not likely to be touched. The shell can reach 80°C under worst case conditions.
