Material used in thermocouple output wires

Hi,

I've attached a picture of a J-type (Iron-Constantan) thermocouple below. It has got two wires, as usual. Does anyone know what would be the material(s) used for the wires that provide the output (I mean the wires with yellow and blue sleeves at end)? . Will it be the same iron and constantan?

In UK blue is (-) iron and yellow (+) is constantan.

It's either the same material or an "extension cable" made from two alloys with a thermoelectric voltage equal to the thermoelement material.
