LTspice needs laptop woth a 120W power supply?

Hello,
We've just purchased a new laptop, a "Lenovo Yoga 510".
It comes with a 20V, 45W Power adapter. The docs that came with the laptop
confirms that this is right.
We believe that LTspice needs at least a 120W laptop power supply, because LTspice
makes the computer's processors use a lot of energy.
Do you agree?

Perhaps even with a 120W supply your Lenovo BMS (battery management system) will not let it charge with so much higher current. So your 120W supply will work just like the 45W one.

It does not make sense at all, as far as I know, LTspice does not require visual resources that justify a greater use of the graphics card which usually consumes a lot of energy in desktops, it render simple 2D plots, not realtime; furthermore, during simulation, I do not see significant overhead on CPU usage with my old Laptop.

this makes no sense. the power management engine will deliver whatever it can, the processor would just run slower otherwise.

thanks, we dont want the processor to run slower when its running ltspice, because ltspice sims can sometimes take a long time anyway...specially pfc sims...maybe we purchase a higher power laptop psu..but maybe the internal regs in the lenovo laptop just cant ship more than 45w....the docs dont say.

The power supply is sized to the computer. If LTspice will run on your computer, it will know nothing about the power being supplied. Some of the newer CPUs operate much more efficiently than previous versions, so a smaller supply is warranted.
