Dear All,

I would like to know if the LTSPICE IC is LT1249 is equivalent for UC28019 IC.
Also the datasheet for the UC28019 mentions it can be used up to 2kW and extended under certain conditions. Can this IC be used for 3kW applications.

Thanking you.

No, the UC28019 isnt the same as the LT1249..the '1249 is a traditional average current mode PFC controller...the '28019 doesnt sense the instantaneous input voltage.
The UC28019 isnt as good as getting good power factor as LT1249.
The UC28019 needs a high value inductor so the inductor current is in CCM for the most of the 1/2 cycle....the LT1249 can transition into DCM near the zero crossings and still keep a good power factor.

Thanks, FvM for the reply. So can I use LT 1249 to simulate the equivalent performance as all the pin configuration looks similar. Or what other IC models I can use in LTSPICE for simulating the similar functionality of UCC28019
