Hi,
I have used the Hitachi 44870 based LCDs for some time now. However I wanted to know if there are other low powered alternatives too.

44780 is a dot matrix LCD and I was looking for something like 7 segment LCDs which I guess would consume much lesser power. Something like which is found on the AVR butterfly.

Problem is, I want to know the part number so that I can buy it. I am from Hyderabad, India.

Any pointers/help would be greatly appreciated! :D
