Would it be possible to use a sound card as a low-cost digitizer platform? Would Labview be able to work with this? I realize that the frequency for sound cards is limited, usually around (less than) 192 kHz so the max input rate should be around half of that or less (Nyquist), correct?
I'm trying to digitize an I/Q signal coming out of a low-bandwidth system for as cheap as possible (read: stay away from National Instruments $$$ cards).
Off the top of my head, the only thing I would be concerned about is that the ADC is probably AC coupled. I/Q type measurments often need the DC value too, to keep them from jumping all over the I/Q plane.
You might be able to go onto the board and jumper over the caps.
