Looking for tutorials about sizing transistors

can you provide tutorials for sizing transistor so that we achieve maximum gain in a comlicated large circuit

any letest cmos book can have this basic material hope you will check with available one.

Increasing L usually helps for higher gain. ro= 1/(Id.λ) and λ is related to 1/L

quick answer: keep device in saturation and size W and L as big as possible...

In short, increase in length will increase the gain and decrease the speed.
By the way, increase in length also helps to decrease 1/f noise.
