How to get the spec of GPS PN sequence? Is there some open standard for download?

Here is a link to all (almost) NMEA sentences:

You can not find a "PN" sequence there.
A gps sentence, besides 3 starting characters, $GP, that is, should have 3 other characters to distinguish it from other sentences, for example: $GPGGA, $GPGLL ,...
