Hello

Do you know a sensor for counting the cars and (and if possible measure size of it) for a trafic contr0l system?

Please give link and comments about this.

Re: sensor for counting cars

I have seen a scheme where a laser range finder is over each lane and pointing down. You get two range readings depending upon the presence of a vehicle or not. From the average traffic speed and the time of the short range reading you can estimate the vehicle length.

It is use light sensor to test car type.

Re: sensor for counting cars

the best way is a inductive sensor with loop under the lan, or radar, i use this methode in my work

koky: can you send a sch for it that have minimum temp drift?

I need more info on inductive and laser range finder, which is more accurate and practical?
