Need references on doherty amplifiers in gaas, cmos, bipolar and so on -- books, papers, theses, whatever, just tutorial in format.

Thanks.

doherty amplifier + bousnina

PLease refer to IEEE microwave magazine in 2006. there is one paper is directly related to this topic.

doherty amplifier tutorial

i think the books of steven cripps have some topics about doherty amplifiers

How to optimize the conduction angle of the auxiliary amplifier biased class C to improve the linearity of the Doherty amplifier

Actully, you might want the loadpull impedances at Zmod and Zopt. Then you should simulate the matching circurt step by step. Nomally, for the peak amplifier, we choose Vgs=Vth-1.3V. It's not easy to say, it depands on your Gain, eff, linearity requirements. It's a trad off. Mostly, we use Doherty and DPD together. So we care more about the eff and Gain.

Added after 2 minutes:

I have to say sometimes you can't revise your linearity by DPD due to your bad AM to PM.

Doherty amplifier with a PDP seems to be the best solution to improve simultaneously the efficiency and linearity.

Regarding this reference:
S. Bousnina, “Analysis and design of high efficiency variable conduction angle Doherty amplifier,” ITE antenna & propagation journal, vol. 3, no. 3, pp. 416-425, April 2009.

It seems that it is possible to design a Doherty amplifier with higher conduction angle of the auxiliary amplifier to improve the overall efficiency but the linearity will be worst and only a PDP can be helpful to improve it.
Up to what extent the PDP can improve the linearity such Doherty amplifier.

Thank you very much !!!
