Hi all,

I need to understand the techniques of serialization and deserialization as well as protocols and signaling in a SERDES.
Also I need to understand how synchronisation is done between the Serializer and the deserializer.
If you have materials/books regarding SERDES/serial interconnects please share.

Awesome thanks in advance.

Re: SERDES

You might want to know something related to SERDES.
However, SERDES is not a protocol name, but a general terminology
and acronym for SERializer/DESerializer.
Many IC chips for processing serial bus protocols (for example PCIe, SATA,
USB, ...) adopt SERDES in their logic.
So, you'd better read some datasheets or application notes from Xilinx.
I recommend an application note from Xilinx, xapp265, which can be found at

https://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/application_notes/xapp265.pdf
