Hi all,

I want to know about back annotation in synthesis process. What does it mean?
thanks

back annotation

Back-annotation allows you to copy device and resource assignments made during compilation into I Settings File , thereby preserving the current fit(place and route) for future compilations. You can use the Back-Annotate Assignments dialog box or preserve pin, cell, routing, device, and LogicLock region assignments through back-annotation.

regards,
