Can anybudy please provide me general idea about the AC3 Multichannel codec Standard. If possible upload the standard or if u have any comments on it or any general paper or any type of documentation please.

This will be good for me but i am looking for algorithmic part of it......i just want to know how it differ fron a general audio codec....say MP3....what kind of maths involved so that with low data rates...5 channel coded......if any of you having some suggestions for me please do put here....
