A good one for me is KE*IL C51. try free demo from their website.

when I use standard 51, I simulate with dScope for windows, came with uVision1 (Old version of KE*IL C51 package)
Its best for me.

I think Keil uv2 has the best simulator at all.

Raisonance has also a powerfull simulator.
The demo can handle up to 4k code Keil has a 2k limit

Keil is the best, but if you want to simulate the uc with components use proteus.

Regards.

hmmm

Keil is great, i've been using it for a few weeks and fell in love...
before that, i was using a very nice one, called pinacle v5.8 i think

it's very graphic and lets you control alot of the internal memory with check boxes, the down part is, the code needs to be in ASM.

good luck, and drop me a line if you need anything

Re: simulators for 51

when I code in ASM, I use Pinn@cle, it's really handy. When I code in C I use Keil, and when I want to simulate with other components, I use Proteus.

Good Luck

Re: simulators for 51

You can use UMPS(Universal Microprocessor Program Simulator) for 80C51
