serial Melabs Programmer

hi,
im having problem with the serial Melabs programmer. Does anyone here has the firmware o manage to develop a working one? truly appreciate if u would respond and help out. i have one which is given by my fren, he say he cant fix it. cables n software seems to be ok as i downloaded the beta version. i suspect its the firmare o the chip itself. a helping hand in need. thanks in advance.
