Hi, can any1 explain briefly about Raised Cosine Filter ?

What is the purpose of its ? How does it function ? etc ....

Or can any1 provide a link or book that explain about that ?

Raised Cosine Filter

it is like filter which passes signal having frequency equal to or nearer to zero ..ie maximum gain at that frequency...also it will have positive symmetry
