when we apply voltage or anything which generate current ......... the wire electron gets excited by electric field of source........and as we know there is overlapping between conduction band and valence band so there is high number of free electron ......... so after appling the source it gets aligned and move in one direction which result in net electric current or electron movement in wire or any conductor .............. that causes current flow
