pcb layout

Hello All

I am beginner in pcb layout.
Anyone has any good link for pcb layout?Documnet that shows the layout routing and introduce basic symbol of IC or resistor , inductor and colours used in the layout and layout that need to be avoided?
Kindly advise
Thank you so much

rgds and thanks
Jason

pcb layout

first select the software you are going to use,
in normal there will be some standard library avalible,
you can use it for reference.

Re: pcb layout

Hi Binu G

I am not going to use any software. Just I am studying it in theory initially.
I am not doing a course about EMI where they never teach about layout but they assume students to have know it.
SO any general introduction about layout is appreciated since I am studying the theory. After this class, maybe I will go for the software , who knows
Thank you for any kind of advice and help in advance
Thank you

rgds and thanks
jason

Re: pcb layout

The US IEEE has one or two books on EMI reduction by proper PC card layout. These were published several years ago.

Re: pcb layout

Thanks Flatulent for giving the directions. I will find that out.

Re: pcb layout

There's something about EMI on analog device's website that maybe useful for you. I had read a book: <<high speed book>>, it's great.

Doug Brooks runs a service bureau and publishes a lot of tech papers on Mentor Graphics website. He also has his own website www.ultracad.com that may have what you require.

Re: pcb layout

Use Proteus simaulation tools and pcb program it is so easy

Re: pcb layout

Hello smithchart, good work.

Can someone have experiencence with design large board, to share ?

Approx 5000-10.000 connections, about 3000 components, 13.000 pins, with mixed signal analog digital.
