Looking for ASM file for PIC16F84A

PIC16F84A Problem...

Hi there Guys and gals

I have a problem here - I'm trying to set up a little project for my kids, and I'm a bit new to this, so naturally I'm having a bit of difficulty. I need to use a PIC16F84A with a number keypad to light up numbers on a seven-segment display. The pin diagram for the keypad is:

What I need now, is an ASM file for the chip (I should be able to get the schematic done quickly afterwards). If anyone has some extra time, and could help me out by doing one for me, or giving me a shove in the right direction, I'd REALLY appreciate it. The datasheets for the PIC is on microchip.com is you need it, it's a bit big to post here lol.

It looks like I can get a little from that book, but i'm still swimming around for a starting point lol - I'll be reading over the book tomorrow for some help. Thanks again!

Hi Tom!

If you want to learn quickly the programming of 16F84 check Ejit's guide
to PIC. Available at:

h**p://www.engj.ulst.ac.uk/sidk/eee305/eejit's_guide_to_the_pic.pdf

It's not a direct solution for your problem, but a good way to get firm
with the PICmicro.
