Hi, I'm a newbie. I'm looking for advice for a suitable DAQ with 64 digital "dry contact" inputs to interface with Form A digital outputs from my controller system. You can view the data sheet for the output modules for the controller system over here - https://www.ops-ecat.schneider-elec...0000019&doc_id=H643675&frm=pdf&usg=&dwnl=true
From my Google research, I've found a couple of manufacturers, LabJack, NI, Advantech, MCC, ACCES I/O, gone through their data sheets. The diversity of the terminology and product attributes used in their data sheets are bewildering to me to say the least, e.g. resolution, TTL, 8-bit/4-bit, dry contacts, Optically Isolated, non-isolated, etc.
Having gone through their websites, I found LabJack's website and product pages to be very easy to understand, even for a newbie, with detailed explanation and also many code samples. LabJack also has a support forum and community, which I think is critical for my case. However, LabJack doesn't appear to have a DAQ unit that can handle my 64 DI channel requirement. What I'll need to do is to get an expansion card and another 4 cards to plug into it, which looks like the following.
Note: I've not yet confirmed that the U6 (https://labjack.com/u6) can work with the output modules.
Here are links to products from other manufacturers that caters for 64 or more DI channels:

I would appreciate any opinions and comments. Thank you.
