Is there a simple, cheap IC or component which does the following:-

If it receives an input of 5V , its output goes to 5V

If subsequently its input goes from 5V to 0V............
-Its output should stay at 5V.

It should be possible to get the output to go to 0V by some 'reset' type input.

so its basically a latch.

but i cannot find a simple cheap IC that does this.

Re: Is there a Latch IC?

Possibly a CMOS 555 timer IC could be made to do this.
