Looking for a NiMh 4300mAh charger

Just got two SONY 4300mAh AA size batteries and need a 2 hour fast charger to then. I mean a 2400mA constant current plus inteligent end of charge circuit.

With some minor modifications (LM317 --> LM350 and 1Ω --> 0.52Ω) you should be able to increase the output current to 2.4A ..

Thanks IanP for your prompt reply but the code is not available for download so a charger with an ASIC is more reliable. One with let's say MAX712, BQ2003, CCS9620 and so on. I already have some schematics but the current is very low and total charge will take a long time e.g. 6hrs up to 10hrs and I need a two hour charger.

I would use one of these Linear Tech chips, particularly the LTC4010, LTC4011.

I am sure you can easily squeeze 4.3A out of it.
