Hi all,

I am looking for a cheap, single color, near IR LED/Laser Diode and a receiver photodiode for it, with a center wavelength of about 1550 - 1600 nm to monitor blood glucose absorptions...like this one:

LED1450E
https://www.thorlabs.com/thorProduct.cfm?partNumber=LED1550E

or this one:
https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/OED-LDC15001EB/67-1504-ND/286954

Also I wanted to ask that if one LED is unable to transmit through a finger to a receiving diode, then will more LEDs do the trick, cause the optical power of the above LED is just 2mW :( ?

and one more thing,
i have found a photodiode for this wavelength, but it seems to be cheaper than all the other ones, which cost like 10 times the price of this one:

Thanks
