Hello everyone;
Please introduce me DDS with output frequency more than 400MHz.

Re: High Speed DDS [hlp]

Never used at so high frequency.. try search on analog site

bye

Re: High Speed DDS [hlp]

Hello mwmmboy;
In Analog website we find only DDSes up to about 400MHz.

Re: High Speed DDS [hlp]

Hi

Check this part: AD9858.
Its sampling rate is 1GHz.

Regards

Re: High Speed DDS [hlp]

Hello Circuit_seller;
We saw it. We need a DDS with higher frequency output.

Re: High Speed DDS [hlp]

Hi

I have seen somewhere that there were DDSs with sampling frequency more than 1GHz which designed using GaAs.
Unfortunately i can not remeber where. Also remember that the drawback of that products was high price and low resolution of their DACs(e.g. 8-bit) which yields to worse SFDR than others.

Re: High Speed DDS [hlp]

Hello Circuit_Seller;
Can you advise me any paper/article/link/book regarding this problem?

Re: High Speed DDS [hlp]

Hi

If your application is high frequency but fmax - fmin is less than 200MHz, you can simply use an Analog Devices DDS and mix its output with a fixed oscilator. but if in your application fmax - fmin is so high you can use mixed techniques such as hyprid PLL - DDS synthesizer. In this configuration output of an DDS is multiplyed with a PLL.
I think if you specify your design requirements we can help you more.

Why just need DDS-method?
If you approach only DDS: try apply after DDS analog freqency-multiply

other way: DDS_sample_freqency - may be not equal to 2*Output_bandwidth
By DDS_sample_freqency=1Ghz is possible get output frequency higher 1 GHz
this method describe in more AD DDS datasheets
